Tuzla district is one of the Asian districts of Istanbul, which is located at the eastern gate of the city and is home to the largest shipyard in Istanbul. Tuzla is bordered on the west by Pendik, on the east by Gabzeh, on the south by the Sea of Marmara and on the north by the forests of Istanbul.

Aslan Park, which is currently the third largest park for rare species of cats in the world, was established in 2018 in the Tuzla region with an area of 8,000 meters, 30 predatory cats of 10 different species in addition to 4 large cats such as lions, tigers , Leopards and Jaguars, Puma, Lynx, Caracal, Serval species that are gradually declining in nature, are protected and live in Aslanpark. Also, considering that there are only 30 white lions in the world, 5 species of this lion (2 young male lions, 2 young female lions and a male cub) are available in this park.
Aslanpark, an Ex-situ Conservation Center, is a warm nest with shelters similar to natural habitats, where predatory cats are not endangered and can reproduce for the rest of their offspring.
In this complex, the Aslanpark animal management team, which consists of veterinarians, technicians and expert caregivers, works 24 hours a day for the health and comfort of living organisms.

Intercity İstanbul Park
The most important rally track in the city of Istanbul in the Tuzla region is the Asian part, which is also the largest rally track for international competitions. The rally opened its doors to the public on September 23, 2005, hosting the first Formula OneTM race.
The track, which is located on a land area of 2,215,000 cubic meters, was built on September 10, 2003. The 5,333-meter track in Tuzla previously hosted Formula 1 racing in 2011.
The Istanbul Park track, which has a capacity of 150,000 spectators, is surrounded by 124,000 rubber barriers.
From 2005 to 2011, Istanbul was on the calendar of the Formula 1 World Championship for seven years.
